On 4 June 2026, the European Environment Agency will host a public webinar exploring one of the most pressing questions for Europe’s circular future: how to finance and scale up circular economy solutions while ensuring a just transition.
Ladeja Godina Košir, Founder and Executive Director of Circular Change and Chair of the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform Coordination Group, will contribute as a speaker with the presentation:Enabling the Circular Transition: Connecting Business Models, Just Transition and Finance
Her contribution will explore how Europe can move beyond fragmented approaches and better connect circular business model innovation, social justice and financial mechanisms that enable systemic transformation.
The webinar builds on three recent EEA briefings focused on:
– just transition to a circular economy
– scaling circular business models in Europe
– unlocking circular economy investment needs, barriers and enabling conditions
Ladeja’s intervention will offer insights from Circular Change’s decade of work at the intersection of policy, business, finance and stakeholder collaboration, highlighting the importance of trusted transition brokers and ecosystem orchestration in accelerating implementation.
The discussion will also provide an opportunity to reflect on the role of the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform as a key space for connecting knowledge, practice and policy across Europe.
Coinciding with Circular Change’s 10th anniversary, the webinar also offers a timely moment for reflection. As Circular Change looks back on a decade of connecting people, sectors and systems, one lesson stands out: circular transitions do not scale through isolated innovation alone, but through ecosystems that align finance, policy, trust and collaboration.
