On 13 May 2025, the PSLifestyle project culminated in its Final Conference, “From Data to Action: Empowering Policies for Sustainable Choices,” held at the BIP Meeting Centre in Brussels. The event brought together policymakers, researchers, community builders, and industry leaders to mark the end of a four-year journey — and to plan what's next.

Running across eight EU countries (Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Slovenia, and Turkey), the project aimed to bridge the gap between individual lifestyle decisions and systemic climate action.

Scaling Impact with the Lifestyle Test

A central focus of the conference was the EU-level workshop on mainstreaming the Lifestyle Test, a digital tool that helps individuals assess and lower their carbon footprints. The discussion emphasized the need for integrated action — aligning personal behaviors with policy frameworks — to meet the EU’s 2050 climate targets.

Slovenia: A Case for Community Power

Representing Slovenia, Meta Pezdir, Project Manager at Circular Change, shared a powerful story: how Slovenia’s PSLifestyle team didn’t just promote the test — they built a movement.

“We built a community — top down and bottom up — and we succeeded,” Meta said.

Slovenia now counts over 1,200 digital users, 150 active community members, and 25+ personalized PSL URLs. These custom URLs are now in the hands of new local leaders, proving that ownership of sustainable change can and should be decentralized.
