Young Balkan Designer 2019: Circular Design - Open Call for Regional Design Competition

We are inviting young creatives who work with a circular mind-set to apply for the exciting design competition Young Balkan Designers 2019, focused on Circular Design

Ever since the 3rdCircular Change Conference in 2018 we have been advocating for a stronger link between design and circular economy, which is key for creating products that are useful, efficiently produced, easy to repair and refurbish, free of toxic materials and also beautiful to look at.

Organised by the Mikser Association (SRB), Young Balkan Designers 2019 calls for design projects − products, concepts, services and scenarios that can bring the Balkans to the forefront of a much needed paradigm shift in design, production and consumption. You are challenged to think about circularity of the production process and how it can address the changing needs of product and services users, implementation of local skills and resources, involvement of your immediate surroundings in problem-solving process and production, creating a positive impact, both on your local community and the rising global issues.

Your projects will be reviewed by a jury of esteemed designers and circular economy professionals, including Ladeja Godina Košir.

The deadline for applying to the call is February 20th 2019. Applicants will be able to register and submit their projects by filling in a Young Balkan Designers form online at:
