Circular Change Director, Ladeja Godina Košir, was asked to provide inputs for an article writen by journalist Irena Bačič, which covers how the circular economy is developing in Slovenia and in Europe.

The election confirms that CCs activities in the recent years have not gone by unseen in Brussels and Ladeja’s affinity towards connecting people and empowering impactful relationships played a strong role in the election.

The conference, organised by the Greek association Mediterranean SOS Network (MedSos) in Athens on the 27th and 28th March 2018 was dedicated to finding solutions for making drinking water from tap more popular and available to everyone, especially in cities.

Niko Korpar presented CC’s work and activities related to linking bioeconomy and circular economy at the Workshop on Non-binding guidance on cascading use of woody biomass in Brussels, 13th of April.

Is the EU Circular Economy Packaged being well accepted and implemented?; What are the incentives and voluntary commitments being discussed to encourage the transition?; Any existing barriers?; How to increase global action?

Representatives of six European countries were invited to Madrid on March 21st  2018 to present how their countries are preparing themselves to make the transition from linear to circular economies.

The primary objective of the regional policy dialogue was to discuss policies that would facilitate smooth and successful transition of SMEs towards greener economy. 

The new Circular Economy Monitoring Framework by the European Commission may have the highest potential to become a standard for monitoring the circular transition on the national levels, as all Member States will be obliged to begin gathering the data once the Framework is adopted.

The first Austrian CE platform is launching on March 21, 2018, in Vienna with a conference titled “Austria on the way to a circular economy: opportunities, challenges, strategies, and actors”.
