Circular economy starts in the classroom

Lucija Marovt, a member of the Circular Change team and Project Director of Eco-Schools Slovenia, was featured in the latest episode of the Healthy Seas Podcast, where she spoke about bringing circular economy into the classroom.

In the conversation, Lucija explains how students can move from understanding circular economy as an abstract concept to experiencing it through creativity, problem-solving, sustainable design, and hands-on learning. By exploring waste as a valuable resource, young people develop not only knowledge, but also the confidence to take action.

The episode also highlights the long-standing partnership between Eco-Schools Slovenia, AquafilSLO, and Healthy Seas, which has brought workshops, teacher trainings, and educational projects on circular economy, marine litter, and sustainable consumption to schools across Slovenia.
