Ladeja Godina Košir to Lead ECESP (2025–2028)
Circular Change continues to shape Europe’s circular transition. As a recognised think-do-.tank driving circular economy strategies, pioneering circular diplomacy and actively promoting the role of transition brokers, we are proud to announce that our founder, Ladeja Godina Košir, has once again been appointed to lead the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform (ECESP). She now enters her fourth mandate as Chair of the ECESP Coordination Group.
This renewed leadership marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Platform, which brings together 24 organisations from across Europe and serves as the EU’s central hub for connecting policy, business, research, cities and civil society on the path toward a circular and regenerative future.
A platform shaping Europe’s circular future
The European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform, jointly hosted by the European Commission and the European Economic and Social Committee, acts as Europe’s principal convening space for advancing the circular transition.
It is a network of networks, uniting practitioners, policymakers, innovators and changemakers who design and implement circular solutions across sectors and regions.
With its 10-year milestone approaching in 2027, ECESP is entering this mandate with a clear ambition: to strengthen the conditions that make circularity real — in policy, in business, and in everyday life.
A renewed mandate with strengthened leadership
The new Coordination Group for the period 2025–2028 held its first meeting with all 24 selected organisations, joined by representatives from the EC, EESC and observer institutions. At this meeting, Ladeja Godina Košir—now serving as Chair, alongside Co-Chair Dr. Agnieszka Sznyk and with governance support from Priya Saikumar—guided discussions that led to agreement on the priority areas that will steer ECESP’s work in the coming years.
“Stepping into my fourth mandate feels less like accepting a title and more like entering a new chapter of redefining the systems that shape how Europe lives, works and thrives within planetary boundaries”
Her leadership builds on three previous terms, during which she served as Co-Chair, helping shape ECESP into a respected European reference point for knowledge exchange, policy alignment and cross-sector collaboration.
Circular Change contributions: diplomacy, networks and system innovation
As Circular Change, we remain fully committed to supporting ECESP’s mission by contributing perspectives and tools essential for systemic transformation:
Circular diplomacy – promoting global knowledge exchange, mutual understanding and cooperation between Europe and the world;
Transition brokers – highlighting the vital role of skilled facilitators who connect stakeholders, sectors and governance levels to unlock meaningful change;
Strategic roadmaps and governance models – supporting countries, regions and industries in translating circular visions into tangible implementation.
These themes remain central to the new mandate, with Ladeja continuing to advocate for inclusive networks, agile governance and shared learning across borders.
Looking ahead
The new term will focus on coordinated action, real-world implementation and strengthening Europe’s capacity to thrive within planetary boundaries.Circular Change is ready to continue contributing insights, case studies, regional experiences and international connections to help ECESP deliver on its mission.
“There is plenty of room to co-create impact. The transition moves further and faster when we lead it together.”
