Ladeja Godina Košir, Founder & Executive Director of Circular Change and Co-Chair of the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform (ECESP), will moderate the flagship Circular Diplomacy panel – one of the key events of the Circular Economy Days taking place at the EU Pavilion during Expo 2025 Osaka.
The Circular Diplomacy panel will be held on 22 September 2025 and will bring together leaders, policymakers, and innovators to:
Engage in high-level dialogue on global circular leadership, policy cooperation, and the role of circular diplomacy in building alliances and advancing a just transition.
Participate in interactive discussions on making the circular transition inclusive, culturally grounded, and relevant to everyday life
Two days later, on 24 September, Ladeja will also join the panel "Building a Greener Economy Together", where she will share her expertise on applied circular bioeconomy, drawing from real-world projects and international collaboration experiences.
Both events are part of the Circular Economy Days, held from 22 to 24 September 2025 at the EU Pavilion – a global gathering organised by ECESP in cooperation with the European Commission and partners. Over three days, the programme will showcase achievements, best practices, and opportunities in the circular economy, with a strong focus on building international alliances for a fair and regenerative future.
Why Circular Diplomacy Matters
In an era of polycrisis, shifting geopolitical dynamics, and climate urgency, the circular economy is more than an environmental or economic agenda – it is a diplomatic bridge. Circular diplomacy applies the principles of circularity to forge partnerships across countries, cultures, and communities, creating shared value that balances ecological health, social cohesion, and long-term economic resilience.
