“Along the coasts of the shared sea”

The Slovenian Presidency of EU Strategy for Adriatic and Ionian Region puts green integration at the forefront with activities to improve the quality of life in the coastal area and hinterland. Slovenia calls for joint measures, taking into account the ecosystem service of the sea, the coast and the entire Adriatic and Ionian region.

The Western Balkans and the continuation of the EU enlargement process are also important priorities.

Special attention is paid to the EUSAIR governance structure, which is a unique platform for achieving common goals, as well as for implementing the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans strategy.

Event VI. The annual forum and ministerial meeting of the Adriatic-Ionian macro-regional strategy on 11-12 May 2021 will also offer an opportunity to present the achievements of the past year. A panel entitled Towards Green and Circular Economy with Ladeja G. Košir, will be attented by the Western Balkans Coordinator, a representative of the European Commission and representatives of the private sector, who will present success stories in this field.

TOWARDS THE GREEN AND CIRCULAR ECONOMY IN EUSAIR

Europe new growth strategy plans to make the EU's economy sustainable by turning climate and environmental challenges into opportunities and making the transition just and inclusive for all. How can we contribute? How challenges are seen from above, how EUSAIR looks from air? What we can learn from that, what opportunities are there and good practice to be shared?
