GZS (Slovene Chamber of Commerce) - Chamber of Agricultural and Food Companies - on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, organizes an online event entitled: "Bioeconomy: a new development opportunity." Event is held in slovene language.
In addition to presenting examples of good practice in the field of circular and bio economy in Slovenia, the organizer wants to place a broader context of understanding the circular and bio economy.
Sustainable development, the circular economy and the bioeconomy present many opportunities for new economic development and the formulation of new policies that will support this development. According to the European Bioeconomy Strategy of 2012, the bioeconomy can be defined as the production of renewable biological resources and their conversion into vital products and bioenergy. The expansion of the bio-economy, especially in rural areas and beyond, represents a great development potential, especially in terms of job creation, sustainable use of natural resources and renewed economic momentum.
