#EUCircularTalks - Network Governance and circular economy hubs' role in the circular transition of the EU

Collaboration is the key for a successful and effective circular transformation. How do different stakeholders collaborate on the ground, how are they organized and what is their impact? How do they collaborate with the government and how well are they connected on national and international level? These are the questions we are going to address with the goal to highlight the role of circular economy hubs as well as to encourage the network governance – based on the contribution of  Professor Jacqueline Cramer, the author of the book - How Network Governance Powers the Circular Economy. Holland Circular Hotspot Chair Jacqueline Cramer shows how network governance can power the circular economy by strengthening the positive forces in society and giving a voice to every citizen.

Objective

The aim of the EU Circular Talk is to concretely introduce the role and impact of hubs (members of the ECESP as well as of others) and to encourage the transition towards network governance (driven by Transition Brokers).  By facing different experiences, projects, activities, achievements and barriers, better understanding of the role of hubs will be achieved. The “network of networks” – ECESP – will demonstrate the power of networking and collaboration, based on stories shared by CE hub leaders (Transition Brokers) from different countries.  Some of the presenters have been included into the survey on network governance led by Prof. Jacqueline Cramer and the results are going to be introduced for the first time.
