Project Manager of The Circulars, Sustainability Strategy Consultant, Accenture Strategy


Michiel Frenaij is currently the project manager of The Circulars – the world’s premier circular economy award program and partner of Circular Change. The Circulars is an initiative of the World Economic Forum and the Forum of Young Global Leaders, run in collaboration with Accenture Strategy. The award offers recognition to individuals and organizations across the globe that are making notable contributions to the circular economy in the private sector, public sector and society. The annual awards are hosted at the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting in Davos.

Michiel Frenaij is a sustainability and business strategy consultant at Accenture Strategy in Amsterdam. In his time at Accenture, Michiel has been dedicated to sustainability strategy in the utilities-, automotive-, and FMCG-industry. Prior to joining Accenture in 2015, Michiel worked as a new product developer at a leading start-up in e-mobility. Michiel holds a MSc. in Sustainable Energy Technology from the Delft University of Technology and a BSc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Groningen University.
