Ivana Maleš

Founder of INCIEN


Ivana Maleš is long term waste management consultant in Slovakia. She has been helping Slovak municipalities to reach recycling targets for the past 14 years. Ivana is originally from Novi Sad, Serbia and studied Environmental science in Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia. After finishing her studies she worked for 3 years as environmental consultant and project manager in Slovak Green Dot organisation Envi-Pak, a.s. For the past 10 years she has been active as a freelance consultant in her consulting company EPIK together with her colleagues Petra Csefalvayova and Katarina Bednarikova. Besides their active co-operation in field of environmental management and waste management, they decided to found Institute of Circular Economy (INCIEN) in Slovakia in March 2016 – Slovak NGO which is implementing principles of circular economy within Slovak and international stakeholders. In INCIEN Ivana is consulting Slovak municipalities in fulfilling the recycling targets, but is also very active in educating and spreading the idea of circular economy among the Slovakias experts and wide public including schools and Universities.
