Herman Bavinck

Program Director, Holland Circular Hotspot


Herman Bavinck started his career as wastewater technologist at Shell. In 1986, he moved to the Netherlands Ministry of Infrastructure and Watermanagement. Within the ministry, he held various (management) positions on environmental issues. Herman is also an international facilitator and mediator. He is a strong supporter of the sustainable development goals and member of the Dutch World Connectors. At current, he is Program Director of Holland Circular Hotspot, a multi stakeholder platform that targets to contribute to the international implementation of circular economy. Herman holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering (Queen’s University, Canada) and lives in Dordrecht, the Netherlands.
