Goran Milovanović

Director of Božidar Jakac Art Museum


Goran Milovanović graduated in Philosophy and Cultural Sociology from the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana. During his student years he focused on visual arts and cooperated with the National Gallery in Ljubljana.

In 2005 he has started working at the Božidar Jakac Art Museum as a curator. His curatorial and research interests are centred on the field of modern and contemporary visual and cinematographic arts. He is the author of numerous published articles and editor of many catalogues and other publications.

In addition to being a curator of several temporary exhibitions, he is also the curator of Tone Kralj and Zoran Didek permanent exhibitions and the annually held exhibitions in the Bogdan Borčić’s Graphic Cabinet, co-curator of Božidar Jakac permanent exhibition in the Božidar Jakac Art Museum as well as the curator of permanent exhibition of the Gorjup Gallery collection.

 Since September 2016 he is a Director of the Božidar Jakac Art Museum.
