„Plattform Kreislaufwirtschaft Österreich“ is a result of collaboration between the association Umweltdachverband, the European Environmental Bureau in Brussels and organizations RepaNet and VABÖ. Their goal is to build a multi-stakeholder platform to act as a think-tank, incubator and cataliyst of circular economy solutions, projects and initiatives that will accelerate the transition to a circular economy in the neighbouring Austria.
Circular Change could not be established without inspiration and advice from our friends abroad, which is why we were especially proud when Director Ladeja Godina Košir was asked to share our experiences and give a keynote speech at the launching event of the Austrian Circular Economy Platform that will take place in Vienna on March 21st 2018.
The conference will join representatives of EU institutions, the Austrian government, NGO’s as well as Member States, who have already presented their national circular economy roadmaps, including Slovenia, where Circular Change is co-authoring the document Roadmap: Towards as Circular Economy in Slovenia.
The programme will feature talks and discussions on roadmaps, national strategies, governance issues, mapping key stakeholders and on political factors, that can influence the transition. Among the speakers and attendees are also Harald Friedl from Circle Economy (NL), Laura Järvinen of SITRA (FI) and Callum Blackburn, Zero Waste Scotland, all of whom are friends of Circular Change.
We are happy to welcome the new Austrian circular economy platform among our long list of partner organisations!
