CC’s circular economy professional, Niko Korpar, was invited to join the expert workshops on the 8th Environment Action Programme and Future EU and National Environmental Policy. The workshops build on some of the key messages that transpired during the Policy Forum that was organized in Vienna earlier this year and are going to convene representatives from civil society organisations, the administration, think tanks, businesses, politics and local authorities.
Three topics that will be covered in the workshops are:
I. Driving systemic change through future EU and national environmental policies; (Workshop I)
II. The role of business and finance in future EU and national environmental policies; (Workshop II)
III. Strengthening accountability and sharing responsibilities in future EU and national environmental policies (Workshop III)
CC’s representative will actively participate in the Workshop on “Strengthening accountability and sharing responsibilities in future EU and national environmental policies”, which will take place on 23rd October in Hainburg, Austria.
The aim of the workshops is to develop practical ideas for both content and structure of an 8EAP and to present the results at the Informal Environmental Council on 29th October in Graz (Austria), which will focus on the “added value of an 8EAP at the EU level”.
